Dubsado, HoneyBook, Moxie or Airtable? Answer a few questions about how you work and I’ll tell you which one fits, and what to set up first.
Turning hot mess operations into businesses that run without your constant attention... and loving every damn minute of it.
If you run a service business and you’re weighing GoHighLevel vs Kajabi vs Dubsado, you’re comparing three tools that were built for three different kinds of business. All three have contacts, forms, email, and payments, and all three describe themselves as one platform for running your business. The center of each one is different, though, and the right pick depends on what you sell and how clients move through your business.
I’m a Dubsado Certified Specialist, so I’ll say up front where my bias sits. I also build in GoHighLevel and Kajabi, and I’ve told plenty of people that Dubsado was the wrong tool for them. Pricing and positioning below come from each company’s own website, checked in October 2026.

Dubsado’s homepage headline is “Book clients, send contracts and get paid.” It’s built for service providers who work with clients one project at a time, and it names photographers, designers, copywriters, coaches, VAs, bookkeepers, and event planners among its users. The core features are questionnaires and forms, contracts with e-signing, proposals, invoices with payment plans, a scheduler, automated workflows, and a branded client portal.
As of October 2026, Dubsado’s pricing page lists two plans: Starter at $335 a year and Premier at $525 a year. Both include unlimited projects and clients. Starter leaves out scheduling, automated workflows, public proposals, and the Zapier integration, so most businesses that want automation need Premier. Dubsado offers a 21-day free trial of Premier with no credit card required. I go deeper on plans and add-ons in my Dubsado pricing guide.
Dubsado is the strongest of the three for the client experience after someone says yes: the proposal, the contract, the payment schedule, the onboarding questionnaire, and every reminder in between. Its workflows are designed around the steps of a client project, which is exactly how most service businesses run.
Dubsado isn’t a course platform or a funnel builder. If most of your revenue comes from digital products or high-volume lead nurturing, it covers part of what you need.
Kajabi calls itself “the operating system for human expertise.” It’s built for coaches, educators, practitioners, creators, and service professionals who package what they know into products. The product types it names are courses, coaching, communities, memberships, podcasts, newsletters, and downloads, with email, automations, landing pages, and payments in the same platform.
As of October 2026, Kajabi’s pricing page lists three plans:
Transaction fees vary by plan and by whether you use Kajabi Payments, so check the fee table for your country.
Kajabi makes the most sense when your offers are digital: a signature course, a membership, a group program, or a community. Delivery, sales pages, and email are all in one account, which means fewer tools to connect.
Kajabi doesn’t describe itself as a CRM, and one-to-one client work (custom proposals, contracts, and project-based invoicing) isn’t what it’s built around. Businesses that sell both a course and done-for-you services often pair Kajabi with a client management tool.
GoHighLevel’s homepage calls it “The AI-powered business operating system.” Its feature list centers on capturing and closing leads: CRM and sales pipelines, websites and funnels, forms and surveys, broadcast campaigns across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Messenger, calendars and appointment reminders, workflows and automations, invoicing, memberships and courses, reputation management, and AI chat and voice tools.
As of October 2026, GoHighLevel’s pricing page lists Starter at $97 a month, Unlimited at $297 a month, and Agency Pro at $497 a month, with annual pricing available and an Enterprise tier through sales. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. The plan descriptions are written for agencies and solo marketers.
GoHighLevel fits businesses where marketing volume is the bottleneck: lots of leads, fast text and email follow-up, pipelines with stages, review requests, and funnels. Agencies managing marketing for several clients are clearly a core audience.
GoHighLevel can do a lot, and that’s also the challenge. It takes real setup time to configure well, and a solo service provider booking a few dozen clients a year may pay for a long list of features they never turn on.
Skip the feature checklists for a minute and answer three questions.
1. What do you sell? If it’s one-to-one services delivered as projects, start with Dubsado. If it’s courses, memberships, or group programs, start with Kajabi. If you sell a service with a high volume of leads that need fast follow-up, look hard at GoHighLevel.
2. Where does your business get stuck? If clients fall through the cracks between “yes” and “done,” that’s a client experience problem, and Dubsado is built for it. If people buy your program and never finish it, that’s a delivery problem, and Kajabi’s course and community tools address it. If leads go cold before you ever talk to them, that’s a follow-up problem, and GoHighLevel’s pipelines and campaigns are built for it.
3. Who will run it? A platform is only as good as its setup and the person maintaining it. GoHighLevel in particular rewards someone who’s comfortable configuring a lot of moving parts.
Plenty of businesses don’t fit neatly into one column. A coach might sell a Kajabi course and also take private clients who need proposals and contracts. A local service business might use GoHighLevel to generate leads and a different tool to manage the project once a client books.
Using two platforms is fine. Trouble starts when two platforms don’t talk to each other. If you go that route, decide which tool owns which information, connect them with Zapier where it makes sense, and make sure a client’s details only get entered once. That’s the kind of build I do under custom systems.
If you can see your business in more than one column, that’s normal. My Tech Stack Consulting service maps your workflow, turns it into a list of requirements, and evaluates up to five platforms against them, so the recommendation is built on how you actually work. If Dubsado turns out to be the answer, my Dubsado setup services take it from there. And if you’re also weighing HoneyBook, read my Dubsado vs HoneyBook comparison.
For Impact Actual, that process meant reviewing 20 systems and delivering 2 complete tech stack recommendations, either of which could automate 91% of their tasks.
They’re built for different jobs. GoHighLevel centers on capturing leads and marketing follow-up, and Dubsado centers on the client experience after someone books. A business with high lead volume and text follow-up may get more from GoHighLevel. A project-based service business usually gets more from Dubsado.
For a business that sells mostly courses, memberships, and digital products, Kajabi’s contacts, email, and payments may be all you need. If you also sell one-to-one services with proposals and contracts, you’ll likely want a client management tool like Dubsado alongside it.
As of October 2026, Dubsado’s Premier plan is $525 a year, GoHighLevel’s Starter plan is $97 a month, and Kajabi’s Basic plan is $179 a month, or $143 a month billed annually. Price alone is a poor way to choose. Compare what each one would replace in your current stack.
Dubsado offers a 21-day free trial of Premier with no credit card required, and GoHighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on any plan. Kajabi’s pricing page offers a free trial too, so check its current terms there.
